A new path, a new place and with a million dreams, I stepped through the gates of this amazing university. Lush green campus, far away from the hustle of the city, IMNU happened to me. Concrete buildings, gravel roads, trees and clear sky, this is what Nirma University looks like. I would be living away from my home, in a hostel, for the first time in my life. A weird kind of fear ran through my veins. But with supportive batch mates and friendly seniors, I couldn’t have asked for more. Appearing for the interviews of various clubs and committees, and finally getting selected in one, I was buoyed. Handling everything from budget to event organization to hosting Mrs. Sudha Murthy, I learnt cartloads. Clubs and committees play a huge role in IMNU, teaching us people management and working under stress and pressure. I got the opportunity to work with real industry professionals, owing to the national and international level conferences organised in the college. Life at IMNU, for me, would be 3 things; home away from home, friends and learning beyond the four walls of the classroom. During my internship, all I could think of was coming to Nirma. This place is intoxicating and pulls you towards itself. The sunny mornings and the breezy nights, the hubbub in mess during lunch and dinner, the last minute breakfast binge, this place is not just a college for me, it is much more than that. It is my home, our home.
